Diversity, Equity and Inclusion
Our people are the heart of Norwegian. We embrace a culture of equality, diversity, and inclusion. Embracing this culture is critical to our business success and makes us stronger together. Norwegian consists today of 65 different nationalities, and our people have different strengths, experiences, and backgrounds, but all share a passion for our vision; to become the most loved and trusted airline in Europe.
We have also set some targets for our work with diversity:
- Increase our share of female Pilots
- Increase our share of male Cabin Crew
- Increase our share of female Technicians
Meet Mohamud Rage, Operations Service Agent at Norwegian
Mohamud Rage (27) started as a Customer Service Agent at Norwegian`s Red Handling in Copenhagen, and today holds the role of Operations Service Agent. Alongside working a 75% position, he is also studying a masters degree in African studies, and works part time for an organization in Africa. This organization is dedicated to promoting peace, cultivating leadership and empowering the marginalized brackets of society to be decision makers in the processes that ensure their wellbeing.
- Somalia and multiple places in Africa have been in a conflict setting for 20-35 years. At the same time inequality has been on the rise, and many children have ended up being recruited by, or forced into armed, violent, and extremist groups. In my role I work on helping such children be reintegrated back into society.
