Join our Accounting Shared Services team in Riga and become part of a friendly, international community that supports Norwegian's operations across Europe. You'll work closely with colleagues from different teams and countries, building valuable relationships along the way. Together, we make sure our financial processes run smoothly, accurately, and efficiently. In this role you will be responsible for:
You will be responsible for:
- Fixed Asset Accounting: Manage fixed asset accounting processes in compliance with financial standards.
- Daily Operations: Execute daily accounting operations within agreed deadlines, ensuring complete and accurate accounting data.
- Cost Accounting: Perform aircraft technical cost accounting.
- Accounts Payable Support: Support the Accounts Payable team in processing incoming purchase invoices accurately and on time.
- Regulatory Reporting: Prepare and submit regulatory reports to relevant authorities, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Reconciliations & Balance Sheet: Perform account reconciliations and maintain a clean, accurate balance sheet by monitoring key accounts and resolving discrepancies.
- Month-End Activities: Participate in month-end activities, including journal postings, reconciliations, and reporting.
- Continuous Improvement: Participate in process improvement projects, actively collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to support business objectives.
- Team Support & Other Duties: Provide support and back-up to other team members and perform additional tasks assigned by the Team Manager.
You are our ideal candidate if you have:
- Education: An academic degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics.
- Experience: At least 2 years of relevant experience in accounting, financial reporting, or shared services, preferably within an international environment.
- Systems & IT: Experience working with SAP or a similar ERP system. Strong MS Excel skills are required; experience with Power BI is considered a plus.
- Knowledge Base: Strong foundational knowledge of general accounting principles, VAT, and general tax regulations.
- Work Style: High level of accuracy, efficiency, strong attention to detail, analytical mindset, and a commitment to meeting strict deadlines.
- Mindset & Soft Skills: A business- and solution-oriented approach, a supportive mindset, a strong sense of ethics, and great communication skills as a team player.
- Languages: Fluency in English (both written and verbal).
- Adaptability: High learning agility and a proactive "can-do" attitude.
- Experience in improvement processes or projects is considered a distinct advantage.
