The Accountant role is a pivotal position within our finance team, responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of accounts payable processes. This role is a fixed-term position with a 17-month contract.
Based in Riga, this role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the business by driving process improvements, enhancing operational efficiency, and leading automation initiatives.
You will play a key role in ensuring accurate and timely financial transactions, contributing to the company’s overall success.
This position is ideal for a detail-oriented professional eager to take ownership of critical financial operations while collaborating with a dynamic and supportive team.

In this role you will be responsible for:
- Processing of incoming purchase invoices accurately and on time
- Daily transactional and bookkeeping activities
- Cost accruals and other month-close activities
- AP sub-ledger maintenance
- Collaboration with internal stakeholders and external vendors
- Perform account reconciliations and maintain clean and accurate assigned balance sheet accounts
- Provide support and back-up to other team members
- Perform additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned by the Team Manager
You are our ideal candidate if:
- Academic degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics
- Experience in accounting, finance reporting, or shared services, preferably in an international company
- Experience working with SAP or similar ERP system
- Good MS Excel skills
- Basic accounting, VAT and other tax knowledge
- Business and solution oriented with a supportive mindset and strong sense of ethics
- Accurate, efficient, strong attention to details, analytical thinking, commitment to meeting deadlines
- Strong communication skills along with ability being a great team player
- Fluent in English, written and verbal
- Learning agility, can-do attitude
