In this role, you will support and coordinate the Maintenance Operations Coordinator (MOC) team while contributing directly to safe and efficient daily technical operations. In this role, you will:

  • Coordinate MOC personnel administration, including shift planning, timesheets, absence management, onboarding, and training.
  • Ensure appropriate and cost-effective staffing, including ad hoc shift coverage when operationally required.
  • Follow up on daily technical operations through operational meetings and cross-departmental collaboration.
  • Manage long-stay Aircraft on Ground (AOG) situations and support effective recovery plans.
  • Monitor delays, reliability, MRO performance, and on-time performance, initiating appropriate mitigation measures.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to MOC personnel, promoting knowledge sharing, professional development, and consistently high-quality performance.
  • Own and deliver projects assigned by the Manager Line Maintenance Planning.
  • Develop, maintain, and follow up on relevant procedures.
  • Act as a key user for the Maintenance Management System (MMS) and Aircraft Technical Log (ATL) systems, supporting projects and system upgrades.
  • Support occurrence investigations as a safety sub-investigator.
  • Act as the first approver for MOC-related invoices and contribute to effective cost control.
  • Maintain adequate IT infrastructure and system access within MOC.
  • Collaborate with contracted MROs and Norwegian’s Boeing representative.

We believe you will thrive in this role if you:

  • Have extensive experience in aircraft line maintenance and technical operations.
  • Hold a licence on Boeing 737NG aircraft, preferably also covering the Boeing 737 MAX.
  • Have knowledge of EASA Part-CAMO and Part-145 regulations.
  • Are familiar with AMOS; experience with NetLine is an advantage.
  • Have experience coordinating technical personnel, operational activities, or shift-based functions.
  • Understand how technical decisions affect safety, aircraft availability, reliability, cost, and on-time performance.
  • Are fluent in written and spoken English, preferably combined with a Scandinavian language.
  • Are proficient in Microsoft Office.

Personal qualities we value:

  • You perform well in an intense and dynamic operational environment.
  • You are an innovative and solution-oriented problem-solver who can make important operational decisions effectively and independently.
  • You communicate clearly and collaborate well across functions.
  • You combine strong attention to detail with an understanding of the wider operational impact.
  • You manage multiple responsibilities and tight deadlines in a calm, structured, and dependable manner.
  • You enjoy sharing knowledge, supporting colleagues, and contributing to a strong safety culture.

We can offer:
Joining Norwegian means more than receiving a competitive salary. You will become part of a community that values, supports, and rewards your contribution.

  • Heavily discounted employee tickets with Norwegian and our partner airlines.
  • Attractive pension arrangements.
  • Comprehensive medical and travel insurance.
  • A competitive salary.
  • Activities organised by the Norwegian Sports Club.

About Norwegian

The Norwegian group is a leading Nordic aviation company, owning two leading airlines in the Nordics: Norwegian Air Shuttle and Widerøe’s Flyveselskap. Norwegian operates an extensive network connecting the Nordics with major European cities, while Widerøe primarily serves short-runway airports in rural Norway, providing vital regional connectivity.

Our Story

The Norwegian story began almost three decades ago - we were founded in 1993 but only began operating as a low-cost carrier with Boeing 737 aircraft in 2002. Our core values have remained the same since the beginning – to offer affordable fares for all and to allow customers to travel the smart way by offering value and choice throughout their journey.

The Norwegian brand expanded across the globe as the airline launched short haul services across Europe and then entered the long-haul sector serving the US, Asia and South America. In 2018 the company changed course to focus on core destinations and the right sizing of the airline in response to customer demand and global industry trends.

The rapid global spread of COVID-19 throughout 2020 and into 2021 accelerated this process and in January 2021 the company announced a simplified business structure and a dedicated short haul only network concentrating on a broad range of domestic routes in Norway, across the Nordics and to key European destinations.
