At Norwegian, we work every day to ensure our customers have a smart and pleasant travel experience. When unforeseen events like delays or cancellations occur, it is essential that we handle passenger rights in a professional, efficient, and fair manner.

We are currently seeking an engaged and proactive Passenger Rights and Compliance Coordinator to join our team at Fornebu. In this role you will be responsible for:

As our Passenger Rights and Compliance Coordinator, you will be part of a highly skilled specialist team dealing with legal issues related to passenger rights. You will work closely with colleagues across Operations, Customer Care, and Legal, gaining unique insight into how law is applied in practice within an international business.

Your main responsibilities will include:

• Claims Assessment: Assessing and processing claims in accordance with applicable legislation (specifically EU Regulation 261/2004) and our internal guidelines.

• Dispute Resolution: Preparing cases and representing the company in the Conciliation Board (Forliksrådet) when necessary.

• Data Analysis: Collecting and analyzing data from our internal operational systems to identify the root causes of delays and cancellations.

• Evidence Gathering: Gathering, evaluating, and structuring documentation and evidence to strengthen the company’s legal position.

• Team Support: Assisting our Passenger Rights Advisors with case preparation, legal documentation, and administrative tasks.

• Correspondence: Ensuring the efficient handling of physical correspondence.

• Cross-Functional Support: Contributing to tasks across Customer Care as operational needs arise.

You are our ideal candidate if:

We believe you are an enthusiastic law student looking for a relevant and exciting job alongside your studies, or that you have a strong interest in consumer and aviation law. You are motivated by finding good solutions to complex problems and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

We hope you recognize yourself in the following qualifications and traits:

• Academic Background: You are currently studying law (rettsvitenskap) or have another relevant academic background.

• Customer Focus: You preferably have experience in customer service and a solid understanding of booking processes, our website, and the overall customer journey.

• Legal Knowledge: You have a good understanding of passenger rights, particularly EU Regulation 261/2004.

• Digital Savvy: You have strong digital skills and learn new systems quickly. Experience with tools like Zendesk, Bono, Amadeus (AMA), Tidy, or Office 365 is a major plus.

• Language Skills: You communicate clearly and professionally in a Scandinavian language (Norwegian, Swedish, or Danish) and have excellent written and spoken English skills.

• Communication: You express yourself clearly and professionally, whether drafting formal legal responses or collaborating with team members.

• Solution-Oriented: You see opportunities where others see obstacles and approach new challenges with enthusiasm and energy.

• Detail-Oriented & Decisive: You have a keen eye for detail, work accurately under pressure, and have the ability to make independent, well-founded decisions.

• Team Player: You enjoy working collaboratively and are not afraid to "think outside the box" to help a colleague or resolve a challenge.

We can offer:

Joining Norwegian means more than just a competitive salary — it’s about being part of a community that values and rewards your contributions.

Our Story

The Norwegian story began almost three decades ago - we were founded in 1993 but only began operating as a low-cost carrier with Boeing 737 aircraft in 2002. Our core values have remained the same since the beginning – to offer affordable fares for all and to allow customers to travel the smart way by offering value and choice throughout their journey.

The Norwegian brand expanded across the globe as the airline launched short haul services across Europe and then entered the long-haul sector serving the US, Asia and South America. In 2018 the company changed course to focus on core destinations and the right sizing of the airline in response to customer demand and global industry trends.

The rapid global spread of COVID-19 throughout 2020 and into 2021 accelerated this process and in January 2021 the company announced a simplified business structure and a dedicated short haul only network concentrating on a broad range of domestic routes in Norway, across the Nordics and to key European destinations.
