Are you our new Crew Controller?

 

We are looking for a detail-oriented Crew Controller to join our Integrated Operations Control Center (IOCC) based at our Head Quarter at Oslo - Fornebu. In this 24/7 shift-based role, you will ensure that every flight is crewed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with applicable regulations.

 

As part of our IOCC team, you'll work in a fast-paced operational environment where quick decisions, teamwork and clear communication keep our operation running smoothly.

In this role you will be responsible for: 

 

  • Monitoring the daily crew operation and responding to operational changes.
  • Coordinating crew assignments and planning daily flight coverage to ensure an efficient and cost-effective operation.
  • Actively participating in the daily operation in close cooperation with other functions within the IOCC.
  • Communicating with crew members and internal stakeholders to support a safe and efficient operation. 

 

 

You are our ideal candidate if:

 

  • You have experience within the aviation or transportation industry, preferably from an Operations Control Center (OCC/IOCC).
  • Experience with crew scheduling systems is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of applicable aviation rules and regulations is an advantage.
  • Analytical skills related to process and value chain systems.
  • Ability to build strong working relationships and collaborate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders across the operation. 


 

We think you'll succeed in this role if you are:

 

  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented and structured.
  • An excellent communicator.
  • Comfortable working with complex software systems.
  • Able to perform well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Able to work independently while thriving in a collaborative environment with colleagues and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Fluent in English and at least one Scandinavian language, both written and spoken.

Our Story


The Norwegian story began almost three decades ago - we were founded in 1993 but only began operating as a low-cost carrier with Boeing 737 aircraft in 2002. Our core values have remained the same since the beginning – to offer affordable fares for all and to allow customers to travel the smart way by offering value and choice throughout their journey.

The Norwegian brand expanded across the globe as the airline launched short haul services across Europe and then entered the long-haul sector serving the US, Asia and South America. In 2018 the company changed course to focus on core destinations and the right sizing of the airline in response to customer demand and global industry trends.

The rapid global spread of COVID-19 throughout 2020 and into 2021 accelerated this process and in January 2021 the company announced a simplified business structure and a dedicated short haul only network concentrating on a broad range of domestic routes in Norway, across the Nordics and to key European destinations.
