Fornebu, NO, 1366
Senior Manager Digital Governance Operations
Application deadline: 30.09.2026
Location: Norway
Type of contract: Permanent
Our people are the heart of Norwegian.
We embrace a culture of diversity, equality, and inclusion. This is essential to our success and makes us stronger together. Our people bring different knowledge, experiences, and backgrounds, but we all share a passion for our vision: to become the most loved and trusted airline in Europe.
Are you our new Senior Manager Digital Governance Operations?
As our new Senior Manager Digital Governance Operations, you will join Norwegian's newly established Group Digital & Regulatory Governance function within IT & Business Services, based at Fornebu, and take a central role in building and running our Group-wide capability for digital and regulatory governance across a complex international organisation.
Reporting to the VP Group Digital Governance & Regulatory Affairs, you will be the senior operational lead for the function's prioritised governance and regulatory matters. You will help turn regulatory requirements and governance priorities into practical ways of working and drive coordinated implementation across the organisation.
A key part of your role will be to bring structure and momentum to cross-functional matters, ensuring relevant stakeholders are involved, the necessary information is gathered, agreed actions are followed up and matters are escalated when necessary.
Our scope includes GDPR and privacy, NIS2, Digitalsikkerhetsloven and related digital security regulation, the EU AI Act and AI governance, supplier and third-party governance, EASA Part-IS interfaces and other emerging digital regulation relevant to the Group.
As we build this capability, you will also have a real opportunity to shape how we operate and support the organisation in practice.
In this role, you will:
- Run and continuously improve the function's governance processes, working methods and follow-up structures, identifying recurring issues and turning them into better guidance, clearer ownership and more scalable solutions that reduce reliance on key individuals.
- Translate regulatory requirements and governance priorities into practical roadmaps, implementation plans, processes and follow-up structures, maintain a structured view of key requirements and implementation needs across prioritised areas, and lead selected governance workstreams through implementation.
- Advise on new business and digital initiatives by structuring assessments across relevant regulatory areas, identifying key requirements, bringing together the right specialists and helping drive pragmatic solutions from initial scoping through implementation and follow-up.
- Coordinate cross-functional governance and regulatory matters, provide senior operational guidance and act as an escalation point for colleagues and business stakeholders, securing the necessary input and keeping matters moving efficiently.
- Develop dashboards, reporting and decision-support materials for management and relevant governance forums, and take a leading functional role in improving governance tools and digital solutions, identifying opportunities to simplify, standardise and automate recurring work.
- Act as the first operational coordination point for selected regulatory issues and incidents, gathering facts, structuring information, engaging relevant stakeholders and preparing matters for assessment or escalation where needed. You will also manage documentation and follow-up in selected matters involving regulatory authorities.
We believe you will thrive in this role if you:
- Have relevant higher education in law, business, technology, risk management or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Bring solid experience from one or more relevant areas such as governance, regulatory affairs, compliance, risk, business operations, advisory or transformation, ideally from a complex or regulated organisation. Experience with areas such as GDPR, NIS2/Digitalsikkerhetsloven, AI governance or other digital regulation is an advantage.
- Have strong analytical skills and a track record of getting to the heart of complex or loosely defined matters, identifying what is needed and establishing clear next steps.
- Have experience translating requirements or strategic priorities into workable processes, roadmaps, implementation plans or cross-functional initiatives, and understand how regulation, accountability and governance translate into effective execution and follow-through in complex organisations.
- Are comfortable working with dashboards, systems and digital tools and can turn complex information into clear and useful management reporting and decision support, while identifying opportunities to improve how work is structured and delivered.
- Communicate confidently with senior stakeholders and are comfortable asking for the information you need, challenging constructively where needed and moving matters forward without relying on formal line authority. You combine sound judgement with strong execution skills and are hands-on, independent and structured, with the maturity to balance pace, quality and stakeholder considerations.
We can offer:
There are lots of benefits that go beyond a competitive salary once you join us as a colleague. We aim to reward, support, and develop our people in their chosen career.
- Travel in Europe and beyond with massively discounted employee-priced tickets with Norwegian and our partner airlines.
- Good pension arrangements.
- Comprehensive medical and travel insurance.
- Flexibility to combine working from our office and from home.
- A competitive salary.
- Possibility to participate in activities run by Norwegian SportsClub.
- Opportunity to join our employee share-saving plan.
