Are you our new IT Support Specialist?

Our people are the heart of Norwegian.
We embrace a culture of diversity, equality and inclusion. Embracing this culture is critical to our business success and makes us stronger together. Our people have different strengths, experiences and backgrounds, but all share a passion for our vision: to become the most loved and trusted airline in Europe.

We are looking for a motivated IT Support Specialist to join our IT Operations team at Norwegian.

Technology plays a critical role in keeping our airline operations running every day. In this role, you will provide high-quality IT support to our colleagues, troubleshoot technical issues and contribute to a stable and efficient IT environment across our organisation.

We are looking for someone who already has hands-on experience from IT support or Service Desk, enjoys solving problems and is ready to further develop their IT career in an exciting and fast-moving environment.

What is it like to work at Norwegian?
You will become part of a collaborative IT environment where technology and aviation come together. You will work closely with colleagues across the organisation and play an important role in ensuring that our employees have the tools and support they need to do their jobs effectively.

In this role, you will:

  • Provide first-line IT support to our internal end users

  • Prepare, install, configure and maintain PCs, mobile devices and other IT equipment
  • Prepare, update and configure workstations
  • Support Office 365, Active Directory, Entra ID, OKTA and Windows environments
  • Maintain printers, computers and meeting room equipment
  • Respond to support requests via email, phone and in person
  • Follow up incidents and requests to ensure a good end-user experience
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of our IT support processes
    • Many of our colleagues prefer to visit the IT team directly when they need support. Having a strong onsite presence is therefore an important part of delivering great service, and this role includes regular onsite support at our Fornebu office.

We believe you will thrive in this role if you have:

  • Relevant IT education, ICT certification/apprenticeship or equivalent practical experience
  • Previous professional experience from IT support, Service Desk or a similar role
  • Good knowledge of Office 365, Active Directory, Entra ID, OKTA and Windows
  • Experience supporting PCs, mobile devices and workplace technology
  • Good understanding of hardware and networking
  • Experience troubleshooting and resolving common technical issues
  • Good communication skills in both Norwegian and English

Personal qualities we value:

  • You are approachable, structured and service-oriented, and you genuinely enjoy helping people.
  • You have a practical approach to problem-solving, communicate well with different types of users and are comfortable handling several requests and priorities at the same time.
  • You enjoy working both independently and as part of a team and are motivated by delivering a great end-user experience.

We can offer:

  • Competitive salary and benefits
  •  Employee-priced tickets for travel across Europe
  • Good pension and insurance schemes

About Norwegian

The Norwegian group is a leading Nordic aviation company, owning two leading airlines in the Nordics: Norwegian Air Shuttle and Widerøe’s Flyveselskap. Norwegian operates an extensive network connecting the Nordics with major European cities, while Widerøe primarily serves short-runway airports in rural Norway, providing vital regional connectivity.

Our Story

The Norwegian story began almost three decades ago - we were founded in 1993 but only began operating as a low-cost carrier with Boeing 737 aircraft in 2002. Our core values have remained the same since the beginning – to offer affordable fares for all and to allow customers to travel the smart way by offering value and choice throughout their journey.

The Norwegian brand expanded across the globe as the airline launched short haul services across Europe and then entered the long-haul sector serving the US, Asia and South America. In 2018 the company changed course to focus on core destinations and the right sizing of the airline in response to customer demand and global industry trends.

The rapid global spread of COVID-19 throughout 2020 and into 2021 accelerated this process and in January 2021 the company announced a simplified business structure and a dedicated short haul only network concentrating on a broad range of domestic routes in Norway, across the Nordics and to key European destinations.
