Are you our new IT RAVE Developer?
As our new IT RAVE Developer, you will join our Digital Delivery & Business IT department, working with one of the most business-critical systems within Norwegian.
This position can be based in Riga (Latvia), Fornebu (Norway), or Barcelona (Spain), depending on the successful candidate's location.
You will become part of an international team responsible for developing and maintaining the systems that support crew planning and crew optimization across the Norwegian Group, including Norwegian Air Shuttle and Widerøe. Your work will directly contribute to ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient airline operations.
What will your day look like?
No two days are the same.
As an IT RAVE Developer, you will transform complex operational requirements, aviation regulations, and collective bargaining agreements into efficient business logic within the Jeppesen Crew Management platform.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Developing and maintaining solutions using the RAVE programming language
- Configuring and enhancing Jeppesen Crew Planning systems (JCP, JCR and JCTS)
- Modelling business rules related to flight time limitations and collective agreements
- Designing, testing and debugging technical solutions
- Collaborating closely with Crew Planning, Crew Optimization and Business stakeholders
- Supporting production issues and troubleshooting system behaviour
- Participating in system upgrades, integrations and continuous improvements
- Producing technical documentation and ensuring high system quality

We believe you have
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent experience
- Experience developing solutions using the RAVE programming language
- Experience working with Jeppesen Crew Management systems is considered a strong advantage
- Experience with Python or other modern programming languages is beneficial
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions
- Experience with software testing and debugging
- Ability to work independently while collaborating in international teams
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and spoken
- Experience within airline crew planning or airline operations is considered an advantage
