Are you our new Senior Coordinator?
Passenger Rights and Compliance is looking for a Senior Coordinator for our team in Barcelona. We are 9 permanent employees on the team – a group of lawyers and team members with experience in aviation, distributed between the Oslo and the Barcelona offices. We all work closely together!
As a Senior Coordinator, you will work with escalated passenger claims across the countries where Norwegian operates. You will handle certain claims independently from start to finish, and you will support the Advisors in managing more complex cases.
Beyond handling claims and collecting information about flight irregularities, you will play a key role in supporting the team with administrative tasks. This includes registering claims in the case handling system, processing payments, and ensuring all case files are updated and accurate. Your sharp attention to detail will be important in keeping everything organized and complete, contributing directly to the success of the team.
The team Passenger Rights and Compliance acts as an advisor to the rest of the organization when it comes to passenger rights. Thanks to this, you will gain insight into how airlines are run, as well as how relevant legislation and court systems work in practice.
In this role you will be responsible for:
- Register, update, and close cases in the case handling system.
- Collect information and investigate disruption reasons.
- Assist the Advisors of the team collecting evidence to defend cases.
- Participate in some legal work, with assistance from the Advisors of the team.
- Make use of your knowledge of Regulation 261/2004 to respond cases from the National Enforcement bodies (NEB) in some jurisdictions.
- Coordinate and approve payments.
- Communicate with NEB, courts and lawyers and respond to follow-up questions.
You are the ideal candidate if:
- You have good computer and software skills.
- You have aviation experience or are familiar with Regulation 261/2004, but if not, we are happy to train you!
- You are organized and can handle multiple tasks at once, ensuring all information is accurate.
- You are comfortable working with short deadlines.
- You can write clear and professional letters.
- You like challenges and maintain a positive and constructive attitude when facing them.
- You have excellent work ethics and can work independently.
- You are a good colleague and team player, contributing to a positive environment.
- You are fluent in English and Spanish, both orally and written.
- Fluency in any Scandinavian languages would be an advantage.
