Are you our new Senior Accountant?

The main responsibility in this position will be to ensure timely, accurate and high quality of general accounting tasks,

communication with local Tax authority in Spain, collaboration with other Accounting Shared Services team members in Riga (Latvia) and other countries.

The position will be located in Barcelona and you will report to Accounting Shared Services Manager located in Riga (Latvia).

 

 

Your daily task will be

  • Ensure statutory compliance in Spain, including bookkeeping and tax reporting
  • Maintain good communication and cooperation with tax authorities
  • Maintain and hold all electronical filing accesses in Spain

 

 

You will be responsible for

  • Notifications management
  • Tax filings for Spanish entities in the Norwegian Group
  • Coordinate financial statements of Spanish entities
  • Complete the daily SII information management with AEAT
  • Assist accounting team in Riga in communication with Spanish vendors
  • Assist on establishing procedures to comply with financial and tax reporting
  • Ensure tax data and financial data is available for reporting and audits
  • Reconciliation of accounts
  • Back up and support for other functions within the Accounting department
  • Ad-hoc tasks

 

 

You are our ideal candidate if you have

  • Academic degree in Accounting/finance
  • Minimum 3 years of experience working in Accounting/ Tax or Auditing
  • Knowledge of Spanish tax legislation would be considered as an advantage
  • Experience with SAP will be an asset
  • Knowledge of Spanish tax forms (CIT, VAT ++)
  • Knowledge of AEAT (SII) website
  • Advanced user in Excel
