Are you our new SVP Safety Security & Compliance?

 

The position SVP Safety Security & Compliance is senior level within the Operations Management structure in Norwegian, reporting directly to the SVP/COO and Accountable Manager.

 

 

Main objectives

 

  • Deputise for the Accountable Manager when required
  • Facilitate full and thorough oversight of all areas of the operation through the Nominated Persons.
  • Report weekly on Safety, Security and Compliance issues
  • Ensure all audit findings are closed in a timely manner
  • Chair weekly Safety, Security and Compliance department meetings
  • Liaise with Norwegian and Swedish CAAs as required
  • Develop systems, processes, and procedures to ensure the offices of Safety, Security and Compliance can function effectively and efficiently.
  • Integrate all parts of Norwegian operations withing a single oversight structure (Flight OPS, Ground OPS, Inflight, CAMO, P145, IOCC).

 

 

You will be responsible for

 

  • On behalf of the Accountable Manager, manage and oversee the daily functions of the Safety, Security and Compliance Offices to ensure full compliance with all internal process and procedures and with all EASA, CAA, and other requirements as they apply.
  • Ensure all reports are fully analysed, recorded, and acted on as required.
  • Develop KPI’s and SPIs for each of the Safety, Security and Compliance areas to measure, monitor and track performance in all areas.
  • Develop Trend monitoring and management processes to ensure we promote continuous improvements within all areas.
  • Deputise for Safety Manager and Compliance Monitoring Manager as required

Your Competence Profile and Required Experience

 

  • A minimum of 10 years aviation experience within the areas of Flight or Technical Operations
  • Fluent in Norwegian / Swedish (written and spoken)
  • Previous experience of working at a senior level within Safety or Compliance offices

 

 

You are

 

  • An outgoing and open personality, with demonstrated ability to look at issues from a broad perspective.
  • A strong leader, with the required skills to grow and develop a team spirit and collaboration between the Safety, Security and Compliance departments.

The Norwegian story began almost three decades ago - we were founded in 1993 but only began operating as a low-cost carrier with Boeing 737 aircraft in 2002. The rapid global spread of COVID-19 throughout 2020 and into 2021 accelerated this process and in January 2021 the company announced a simplified business structure and a dedicated short haul only network concentrating on a broad range of domestic routes in Norway, across the Nordics and to key European destinations.
