Norwegian is looking to expand the Customer Care Centre in Riga and we are pleased to be able to accept applications for Norwegian or Swedish speaking Customer Care team members on a full or part time basis. As a member of this vital team you will be an ambassador for Norwegian having direct contact with our customers on a daily basis. You will have a passion for resolving issues relating to our customers’ travel needs and be able to provide a high standard of customer service. A strong work ethic and the ability to work both as part of a team and independently are also crucial.

 

The Business Center in Riga is responsible for replying to all requests from passengers. This includes everything from the booking process through to when the passenger leaves the airport. We are looking for representatives in Customer Care roles to ensure that we can deliver excellent customer service across all communication channels - phone, e-mail, social media and live chat.

 

You will be responsible for:

•             Providing frontline booking assistance for our customers in different channels (phone, chat, social media and email);

•             Resolving acute and urgent issues related to our customers’ travel needs;

•             Handling customer claims and feedback in various channels;

•             Performing administrative tasks to support business requirements as and when needed.

 

This job will be for you if:

•             You are service minded and have a positive attitude;

•             You have a high degree of flexibility and strong work ethic;

•             You have the ability to multitask in a dynamic, high-paced environment;

•             You have the ability to take ownership and solve problems;

•             You have a “can do” attitude and a willingness to pitch in with other tasks as needed;

•             You like to work shifts (including evenings/weekends).

 

You are our ideal candidate if:

•             Fluent Norwegian or Swedish language, as well as English (at least B2 level);

•             You have frontline customer service experience in an airline, a contact centre or airport experience;

•             You have experience working with digital platforms and are quick to grasp new technology.

 

Experience outlined below would be an advantage:

•             BSP/IATA fare and tariff knowledge;

•             Group reservation;

•             Other GDS;

•             World tracer.

Our Story


The Norwegian story began almost three decades ago - we were founded in 1993 but only began operating as a low-cost carrier with Boeing 737 aircraft in 2002. Our core values have remained the same since the beginning – to offer affordable fares for all and to allow customers to travel the smart way by offering value and choice throughout their journey.

The Norwegian brand expanded across the globe as the airline launched short haul services across Europe and then entered the long-haul sector serving the US, Asia and South America. In 2018 the company changed course to focus on core destinations and the right sizing of the airline in response to customer demand and global industry trends.

The rapid global spread of COVID-19 throughout 2020 and into 2021 accelerated this process and in January 2021 the company announced a simplified business structure and a dedicated short haul only network concentrating on a broad range of domestic routes in Norway, across the Nordics and to key European destinations.
