Norwegian is looking for a Route Analyst/Senior Route Analyst to join our team. As a part of the Commercial Short-Haul team you will be able to directly influence where and how often we fly.

As a route analyst you will monitor competitor activity, route performance and keep key reports up to date to ensure we make the best possible decisions. Through detailed analysis you will help support the route management team optimize the route portfolio and maximize profitability for the Norwegian group. You will actively participate and contribute to the development and execution of route network strategies across the commercial value chain.

You will be a self-starter with excellent analytical skills, translating your analysis into clear, concise recommendations. You have great attention to detail and quality. Reporting directly to Head of Route Management for your given geographical area you will be involved with deciding how best to utilize our short haul aircraft to meet the company's financial and strategic objectives over the 0 – 18-month time horizon.

Job Description


  • Monitor route performance. Identify trends and issues and highlight them to the Route Management team with suitable recommendations.
  • Maintain and develop the department’s reporting framework.
  • Create presentations for new route opportunities and recommended frequency changes.
  • Monitor competitor activity and schedules. Highlight notable changes and suitable responses.
  • Provide ad hoc analytical support to the wider network team as and when required.
  • Support, coordinate and help drive cross commercial activities to drive route performance





  • University degree in economics, transport/logistics, statistics or general business studies.
  • 1 – 2 years’ experience in an analytical role, preferably within aviation or the travel industry, however talented graduates are encouraged to apply.
  • A proven interest in airlines, aviation, and the travel industry.
  • Ability to handle a high workload in a quickly changing environment.
  • Great teamwork skills.
  • Knowledge of the European aviation market is an advantage.
  • Excellent level of communication.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Languages: English mandatory; one of the Scandinavian languages an asset.


The position will be based at Norwegian’s Head Office in Fornebu and will report to the Head of Route Management.
