Norwegian are continuing with our growth in Riga and are now building up a accounting team, could you be our new Accountant? We will build our team with both accountants and senior accountants that will oversee general accounting operations by controlling and verifying our financial transactions. You will be a part of our Accountant Department and report to Team Leader Accounting.

You will be responsible for managing the accountant team in Riga and make sure the general accounting tasks are performed with timeliness, accuracy and quality. You will support and work together with the other Accounting teams within the Norwegian Group Accounting Department and have the contact with our vendors, customers and reporting governments. 

You will be responsible for, but not limited to

• Accounts payable
• Accounts receivable
• Payments
• Fixed assets
• Intercompany
• General bookkeeping
• Reconciliation of balance sheet accounts 
• Month end closing
• Internal and external reporting
• Back up and support for other functions within the Accounting department
• Ad hoc tasks

• You have an academic degree in Accounting/finance or experience from related area 
• You have experience from working with SAP
• You have good excel and IT systems competence and understanding
• You have good written and verbal communication skills 
• You are fluent in English, written and verbal
• You have good teamwork capabilities
• You have a strong understanding of a multicultural work environment

• Annual fixed gross salary EUR 14 700 - 18 400 for accountants and gross EUR 19 000 - 20 950  for senior accountants (depending on your experience, education, and skills)
